| 5.02.2006 Hello to all our friends! We’ve been on the road promoting our new Lonesome Day Records release “On the Rise” and would like to take a few minutes to tell you about some exciting things that’s been happening for the band. First things first. We would like to take a moment to welcome back long-time friend and one of the founding band members, Justin Moses. Justin has joined us full-time on tenor vocals and playing fiddle and dobro. Justin may be no stranger to many of you as he played banjo and fiddle for BMR for the first four years and has traveled all over the country playing with great artists like Newfound Road and Sierra Hull. Justin is an incredible musician, singer, and songwriter and we’re proud to have him in the band. Justin has just completed his very first solo CD entitled “Dusty Roads” featuring Keith Garrett, Steve Gulley, Byron House, Andy Leftwich, Lou Wamp, Tim Tipton, Chris West and Randy Jones. We guarantee you’ll add this CD to your list of favorites because it packs a wallop! Look for it soon. “This Old Martin Box,” written by Dave Carroll, continues to climb the Bluegrass Unlimited charts and is currently at # 7 in the Top 30 Bluegrass Singles Chart and “On the Rise” is currently at # 10 in the Top 15 Bluegrass Albums Chart for May. “On the Rise” is currently at # 25 in the Roots Music Report Top 50 Bluegrass Albums chart. The single “He Arose” is currently at # 2 on The Bo Man’s America’s Bluegrass Gospel chart and # 4 on Powergrass Radio. “This Old Martin Box” is # 2 and “Papaw Taught Me” is at # 10 on The Bo Man’s America’s Bluegrass chart. We can’t thank everyone enough for calling in to your local radio and satellite radio stations to request our music and for buying our albums. Special thanks also to all our online fans who tune us in on the World Wide Web. Let’s see if we can keep this thing climbing the charts and get it to # 1 across the board! Since our last news update, we’ve played all over the country (Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, and Ohio to name a few) and have met some truly wonderful people. In March, we were all fired up to be sharing the bill with The Del McCroury Band at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol, TN. There was a huge crowd in attendance that night and a fantastic time was had by all. Del and the Boys put on an awesome show as always and it was great to see those guys play live again. Folks, if you’ve never been to the Paramount for a bluegrass show, we highly recommend it! It’s a huge theater, but there’s not a bad seat in the house. Great sound too! Some exciting things happened for the band in April as well. The last weekend in March/first weekend in April took us to the Red Light Café in Hotlanta, GA, for the first time ever and we certainly had a great time there. The next morning, we were up bright and early for a live appearance on the “Good Morning Atlanta” show on Fox channel 5. We sang “This Old Martin Box” and let Jenks throw down a little “Reuben” to kick everyone’s morning off just right! If a couple cups of Joe and some drivin’ banjo don’t get you started in the morning, then we don’t know what will! Later that night, we went to visit and play for our good friend Rick Torrence at Hoofer’s Gospel Barn in LaGrange, GA. We had a great time pickin’ and singin’ for the folks there that night, but have we mentioned the world-famous seafood buffet at Hoofer’s? Chris and Tim’s eyes lit up when they saw all that delicious, fresh, fried seafood and homemade desserts! Poor little Jenks looked like he had swallowed a football when we were done. The next morning we were scheduled to play our first ever WalMart in-store appearance in LaGrange. This was a huge success as we were able to meet a lot of new fans and sell a lot of CD’s. Later that afternoon, we took our show to the WFRG Radio Peachblossom Festival in Forest Park, GA.
